We can now confirm that this pilgrimage, prompted by the Jubilee Year of Hope to the home of the diocesan patron, St Edmund, will include Mass during the day, and a prayer service to be held in the Cathedral, as well as a guided tour of the Abbey area. We will set off at 9am, and plan to arrive home by 6.30pm. The exact programme for the day, which will include times for lunch/refreshments, will be confirmed as soon as possible. The cost of the coach will be paid by the parish. We need to know numbers soon to book the coach. If you would like to join us on the pilgrimage, please add your name to the list in the church porch or speak to Patricia Barkess (07746 412257) or Pat Fuchter (07867 318438) by Monday 26 May please.

A new venture: The “Whybelonely Social Group”.
The first Why Be Lonely gathering, held on 2nd May, was a great success, attended by 17 people from the parish and beyond, who unanimously voted to continue on the first Friday of each month. In the words of one participant: “Wasn’t it fun; I hope we have more of these!” . The next gathering will be on June 6th. All are very welcome – do come along and join us.
